The top five 2.25" diameter targets can be reset by shooting the lower five 2.25" diameter targets.
Test Results with Following Ammo:
Aguila Super Powderless Ammo has a muzzle velocity of 550 feet per second. - Cycle Target 100% distance 15 to 20 feet. - This cartridge has very little power since it uses no gunpowder, but primer gases instead. - Makes a great Gallery .22 Ammo for those with limited space.
CCI CB Shorts and Longs have a muzzle velocity of 700 feet per second. - Cycled Target 100% distance 20 to 30 feet. - Just slightly more noise that the Aguila but sounds like a pellet gun.
Remington SubSonic and Winchester .22 Shorts which have muzzle velocity of around 1050 feet per second. -Cycled Target 100% distance 20 yards. -Much louder report than the CCI CB Shorts or CCI CB Longs.
Standard .22 Long Rifle Ammunition. -Cycled 100% at 40 to 50 yards. -2.25" diameter targets aresmall at 40 to 50 yards May require a scope for those with weak eyes or if target is placed at a further distance. -A scope rifle would be needed at 100 yards.
Shooting target less than 40 yards with a Standard .22 Long Rifle cartridge should be avoided. As shown in the picture all surfaces are at an angle to deflect downward and to increase the targets resistance to damage. Such a slope armor is used in the Armed Forces. All targets are manufactured from 1/4" thick Steel Plate including the 2.25 diameter targets. The 2.25" diameter targets can all be remove by sliding out the .5" round rod that holds them in place. This is a heavy duty target system which weights approximately 40 pounds and designed to last. It is the responsibility of the purchaser/owner/user of this and all targets to obey all gun safety rules and wear safety equipment.
